Tekton SHD92705 1/2 Inch Drive Shallow and Deep 12-Point Socket Set, 22-Piece (3/8–1 in.) with Open Top Drawer

The 1/2 drive gives me the torque I need for truck work and the deep sockets handle long bolts on leaf spring hangers without issue. 12-point engagement is smooth and the chrome finish sheds road grime. Open top drawer means I can see everything at once. This set replaced three mismatched partial sets in my box.

Covers 3/8 to 1 inch in shallow and deep which handles most of my tractor and truck repairs. Markings are big and clear. No complaints after several heavy use weekends.

Socket quality is genuinely good and the drawer is convenient. However I'd love a metric companion set at the same price point since this one is SAE only. Know that going in.

I maintain a small farm's worth of equipment and this set has been put through the wringer — rusty implement bolts, combine work, you name it. The deep sockets reach past stuck studs and the 12-point design seems to distribute load better than my old 6-points on stubborn hex fasteners. The open drawer sits nicely on a fender or tailgate. Eight months of abuse and everything still looks new under the dirt.

Arrived fast, packaging was good, and the sockets fit fasteners perfectly. Would buy Tekton again.

My set came with the 1 inch shallow socket missing from the drawer. Vendor is sending it but I needed it for a job that weekend. Annoying luck, hopefully rare.

You get proper 1/2 drive heft without paying a premium brand price. The shallow and deep pairing saves constant socket swapping. Finish has held up through a season of greasy work.

Bought this for my husband's birthday after he kept borrowing sockets from his brother. He says the deep sockets are the best part and the drawer keeps the garage from getting messier. He's picky about tools so his approval means something. Worth every penny of the sale price.
