TEKTON SIA01103 1/4 Inch Drive x 3 Inch Impact Extension

Used this on my impact driver for weeks now, no rounding, no wobble. The manganese phosphate coating still looks new even after getting bounced around in the tool bag. For nine bucks it's a no-brainer.

Fits my 1/4" impact snug and reaches where I need it. Would buy again.

I do small engine repair on the side and I'm hard on my tools. This extension has taken hundreds of impact cycles without loosening up. The retaining grooves hold sockets securely, the Cr-V steel feels properly heat treated, and the black finish hides grease. TEKTON continues to punch way above their price point.

Snapped a couple of chrome extensions before learning my lesson. This one is rated for impact use and it's held up perfectly on lug work and brake jobs. Fits tight in my Harbor Freight impact.

Works fine overall and the price is right, but the ball detent feels a little weak compared to my Snap-on. Sockets stay on for normal use though.

One for each tool bag. Can't beat it.

The 3-inch length is the sweet spot for dashboard screws and interior trim work. Runs true with no wobble at speed. Docking one star only because I wish it came in a 2-pack.

Worked great for about a month, then the ball retent stopped holding sockets reliably. Shame because the steel seems fine, just the detent mechanism gave out on mine. Might be a lemon but worth mentioning.

I've been wrenching for 30 years and own plenty of premium extensions. This TEKTON sits right in my daily-use drawer now. Coating resists rust in my humid garage, laser etching is easy to read, and the quad square drive engages properly. Ordered a second one.

Paired with my M12 impact driver this thing is great for tight engine bay work. Cheap enough to not baby it.
