TEKTON SIA31016 3/4 Inch Drive x 16 Inch Impact Extension (Through Hole)

This thing has saved me multiple times on deep-recessed fasteners — in-frame work, deep wheel wells, behind crossmembers. The through-hole retention hole works perfectly with my pin sockets and nothing has ever slipped off. No twist or flex even on stubborn bolts with the big impact. Absolute must for heavy equipment work.

Reached bolts I literally could not access with anything shorter. Finish is holding up well against rust in my unheated garage. A hair heavy but that's the nature of 3/4 drive.

I've snapped cheap extensions off under torque before, so the through-hole with a retaining pin sold me immediately. Ran lug nuts on a trailer axle all afternoon and the extension showed zero signs of stress. Twenty dollars for this level of quality is honestly a steal. It now lives permanently in my heavy-duty tool bag.

Well made, no complaints on quality. Just be honest with yourself about how often you need 16 inches of reach on a 3/4 drive — for me it's maybe twice a year. When I do need it, it works flawlessly though.

Bolt buried deep in the boom frame that nothing else could touch. This extension went right in and my impact broke the bolt loose in seconds. Through-hole kept the socket locked the whole time. Paid for itself in one job.

Keeps this in the toolbox with my 3/4 sockets. It's taken plenty of hammering and breaker bar abuse without complaint. Wish I'd bought the shorter one at the same time but that's on me.

Machining on the drive squares is clean and the fit with my sockets is snug with no slop. Used it weekly for two months on equipment repair and it hasn't twisted or worn. The through-hole design gives me real confidence at high torque. Tekton keeps impressing me.
