TEKTON SHD92706 1/2 Inch Drive Shallow and Deep 12-Point Socket Set with Open Top Drawer and Rack, 16-Piece (1-1/16-1-1/2 in.)

I've used TEKTON sockets before and this set lives up to the reputation. The 12-point engagement is smooth even on slightly rusty large fasteners, and the open top drawer keeps everything visible at a glance. The rack fits my toolbox drawer perfectly. Can't beat it for the price.

I work on farm machinery and this set covers the big sizes I need most, from 1-1/16 up to 1-1/2. The deep sockets reach recessed bolts that used to force me to grab a cheater pipe and an impact deep well. Finish is a nice matte chrome that doesn't glare under shop lights. Only wish the drawer had a latch, but the rack itself is sturdy. For the money it's a no-brainer.

Been wrenching professionally for 22 years and these hold up on impact-rated work just fine for hand driving. Markings are deep-stamped and easy to read even with greasy gloves. The shallow and deep combo in one drawer saves me trips around the shop. Fast shipping too.

The sockets themselves are great quality and the 12-point design grabs fasteners nicely. My complaint is the open top drawer feels a little flimsy compared to the rest of the set, and the socket clips are tight enough that pulling a socket out mid-job is annoying. Still a good value overall, just not perfect.

Got this on sale with a coupon so the value was outstanding. Sizes cover everything I run into on my truck and lawn tractor. The rack labels are clear and everything stays put in the drawer. Would like laser-etched size markings instead of stamped, but that's minor. Would buy TEKTON again.

No fault with the sockets themselves, but my set showed up with two sockets popped out of the clips and rattling around, and one had a small scuff from bouncing in the drawer. Packaging could be better. Amazon replaced it quickly and the second one arrived fine, so call it a shipping luck thing, but worth mentioning.

I mostly tinker in my garage on weekends with an older F-250 and my buddy's boats. Large fasteners used to mean borrowing sockets from my neighbor, but now I'm covered. The deep sockets are the real stars here. Great chrome, no chips after a few months of use, and the price made it an easy yes.

Twelve-point walls make a real difference on worn large hex bolts where six-point sockets used to slip. Everything is clearly organized in the drawer and the whole set takes up barely any room on the shelf. I'd have given five stars if a locking lid were included, but it's a well-made set at a very reasonable price. Recommended for anyone doing axle and suspension work.
