Buy the TEKTON SKT15402 Torx/TR Torx Bit & External Star Socket Set, 36-Piece online for $49.50 — a $49.50 discount off the $99 compare-at price. It's the complete star-fastener solution for DIYers and technicians servicing vehicles, appliances, and equipment with Torx, tamper-resistant Torx, and E-Torx hardware.
The set includes standard and long Torx bit sockets in T10–T60. Long bits extend past recessed hardware, shrouded fasteners, and deep bosses — common on transmissions, interior trim, and engine components. External star (E-Torx) sockets E4–E20 fit the female E-star head bolts found on Ford, GM, and other manufacturers' brake calipers, sensors, and driveline components.
S2 steel bits are press-fit into sockets for a straight, permanent connection that can't loosen. Tamper-resistant Torx bits have a hollow center for TR security fasteners with center posts. Four detent grooves lock each socket securely to the drive tool, and die-stamped size markings can't wear off.
Buying standard, long, tamper-resistant, and E-socket sets separately costs far more than this one 36-piece case. Cheaper sets use roll pins that shear and thin bits that twist — SKT15402's press-fit S2 construction is built for repeated torque.
At $49.50, that's about $1.38 per piece — 50% off the $99 compare-at price. Apply coupon SAVE15 for an extra 15% off at online checkout; free shipping on orders over $45.

The long Torx bits extend past recessed and shrouded fasteners that standard bits can't reach. E4–E8 handle sensors and trim; E10–E12 fit brake calipers and thermostat housings; E14–E20 cover driveline hardware — including common Ford E-Torx caliper bolts.
E4–E6 external star sockets fit small female E-star fasteners on sensors, electronics, and light trim hardware on vehicles and appliances.
Ford commonly uses E10–E12 on brake calipers, E8 on sensors, and larger E-sockets on axle and driveline bolts — all covered by this set's E4–E20 range.

Yes. The hollow-center TR bits work on both standard Torx fasteners and tamper-resistant TR fasteners with center posts, adding versatility at no extra cost.
Needed T20, T30, and E12 for a brake and timing job and this set had everything. Bits seat tightly, sockets are properly machined, and the case actually holds them in place. For fifty bucks this replaced three separate partial sets in my toolbox.
All sizes fit well and the tamper-resistant pins are properly centered. The black oxide finish marks up a little after a few uses but that's cosmetic. Happy overall.
No complaints. Everything fits.
The sockets themselves seem well made and have handled everything I've thrown at them so far. My gripe is the case latch feels flimsy and popped open in my trunk. Contents are fine, packaging is meh.
I've been wrenching for forty years and used to buy single sockets as needed. My grandson suggested this set and honestly it's one of the best purchases I've made. Every Torx size I've needed for the German stuff is here, the markings are large enough for these old eyes, and they haven't rounded a single head. Wish they made sets this complete when I was younger.
The sockets I received work great, but my case was missing two of the bit sockets. Support handled the replacement quickly, so docking stars only for the QC issue. What I have works well.
Stripped Torx bolts on a mower deck and the tamper-resistant bits plus the E-torx sockets got me out of trouble. Didn't know I needed E-torx until I had it.
I'm a DIYer, not a mechanic, so I can't speak to pro durability. But for brake jobs, deck repairs, and appliance work these have been flawless. Tekton's lifetime warranty is the cherry on top.
I run these daily in my small engine repair shop alongside my Snap-on stuff. The fitment is nearly as good and at half the price I don't cry if I lose one. Deep E-sockets are the standout for me.
36 pieces, correct sizes, no junk in the set. Used the T47 on my truck's axle bolts without any flex or rounding. Slightly shallow case tray but whatever.
