TEKTON SID14024 3/8 Inch Drive x 15/16 Inch Semi-Deep 6-Point Impact Socket, Cr-V Steel with Manganese Phosphate Coating

Bought this to replace a single socket I lost from my set. The semi-deep well reached recessed 15/16 fasteners my standard sockets couldn't touch. Crack it with the impact gun all day, no signs of wear. The manganese phosphate coating hasn't rusted even after sitting in a damp truck box.

Didn't want to buy a whole set just for one size. This TEKTON socket fits tight on the hex and the 6-point corners grip well. Slightly shallower than I expected, but that's the semi-deep design, not a defect. Would buy again.

I do small engine repair on the side and the semi-deep profile is exactly what I was missing. It gets down into pockets where shallow sockets bottom out but doesn't have the wobble of a full deep well. The 6-point design hasn't rounded anything off yet, even on some rusty old bolts. Laser etching is easy to read. For seven bucks it's a no-brainer.

Seems well made and the finish looks durable. On some of my worn fasteners it fits a little looser than my old Craftsman. Still gets the job done with the impact.

This socket lives on my 3/8 impact and takes a beating every single day. No cracks, no rounding, finish still looks good after months of use.

Socket itself is probably fine but mine showed up with the black coating chipped on one flat. Returned it without much hassle. Maybe just bad luck in shipping.

I've been slowly replacing my mix-and-match sockets with TEKTON pieces and this one lives up to the rest. Chromium-vanadium steel with a proper impact rating. Corners are crisp and it seats fully on 15/16 hardware without play. The semi-deep length is genuinely useful for starter bolts and other recessed fasteners.

Fits my impact wrench, handles torque fine, price was fair with the coupon. Nothing else to ask for really.
