The steel shot core gives these mallets real weight without any bounce. I've been driving bearing races and tapping cabinet panels together for weeks now and the replaceable nylon heads still look nearly new. Swapping heads takes about ten seconds. This set replaced three cheap mallets that cracked within a year.

Good heft and the nylon faces don't mar anything I've hit with them. Only wish the largest mallet had a slightly longer handle for more leverage, but for furniture work and light metal shaping it's been great.

I do a lot of assembly work with hardwood and soft metals, and these mallets leave zero marks. The four sizes cover everything from delicate tapping to serious persuasion. The shot-filled heads transfer energy cleanly instead of bouncing back into your wrist like cheap rubber mallets do. My shoulders noticed the difference by the end of the first week.

Quality is clearly there and the nylon heads are nicely finished. Just be aware the steel shot makes these noticeably heavier than standard soft-face mallets, which took some getting used to for prolonged overhead work.

I'm 68 and have bought a lot of tools over the decades. These remind me of the quality you used to get without paying boutique prices. Used them all summer on my woodworking projects and no complaints at all. The replaceable heads are a smart feature I wish more brands offered.

Second set I've bought, one for home one for the truck. These things are bombproof.

The mallets themselves seem fine, but one of the nylon heads was loose out of the box and backed off after a few taps. Swapped it with another from the set and contacted support, who were responsive, but quality control could be tighter at this price point. Would probably buy again but check everything on arrival.

Bought these for auto work — seatering panels, tapping suspension components, seating bushings. The shot core hits harder than traditional dead blows and the nylon doesn't chew up powder coating or anodized surfaces. Four sizes means I rarely grab anything else. Ten minutes after unboxing I was already impressed.

Nice range of weights in this set and everything feels well balanced in hand. Used the mid-size one to coax dovetails together without a single dent. Docking one star only because the grip could use a bit more texture when hands get sweaty.
