Tekton 1/4 Inch Drive x 6 Inch Locking Extension (SHA01206)

I bought this specifically for spark plugs recessed deep in engine wells and it's been perfect. The locking collar keeps the socket from sticking to the plug when you pull back out. Length is exactly as advertised, finish is flawless chrome over what feels like properly hardened steel. Honestly better than extensions costing three times as much. Tekton's lifetime warranty is the cherry on top.

6 inches is longer than I realized but it's come in handy more times than not. Lock works well.

Reaching fasteners inside blower housings and behind evaporator coils is a daily thing for me. This extension plus a locking socket hasn't let go once. It's taken some torque without twisting or chipping.

There's a tiny bit of wobble at the square drive that I didn't expect. Doesn't affect most jobs but noticeable on precision work. Still usable and the lock holds great.

Retired mechanic, fifty years of opinions about tools, and even he nodded approvingly. Says the steel feels right and the lock is positive. High praise from that man.

Bought one, liked it, bought a second so I don't have to swap between jobs. Retention is excellent and the length lets me skip a bunch of contortions under dashboards.

Does the job, locks securely, chrome plating holding up fine after a year. Would buy again.

I know 1/4 drive has limits, but this bent noticeably when breaking loose a mildly stuck bolt. Probably my fault for exceeding torque limits, but heads up — this is for light duty only.

Working inside deep cabinets and appliance guts, regular extensions always dropped the socket at the worst moment. This one holds on until I release it. Brilliant simple design and Tekton build quality at a fair price.
