Tekton 1/4 Inch Drive x T6 Long Torx Bit Socket (SHB04306)

Tried three other T6 bits trying to reach recessed Torx screws inside a laptop hinge assembly and they all either wouldn't reach or slipped. This long bit socket reaches 2.4 inches deep and the bit hasn't rounded despite dozens of removals. The socket steel and the bit both feel properly hardened. Tekton keeps impressing me at this price point.

Long reach is exactly as listed. Fits recessed Torx fasteners that standard bits can't touch.

It reaches deep recesses fine, but T6 is tiny and this bit will twist off if you get enthusiastic with torque. Gentle hands required. For electronics work it's been fine.

Some dishwasher control boards have Torx screws recessed an inch and a half down. Nothing in my regular kit could reach them. This one does, and the 1/4 drive lets me use a slim ratchet in the tight cavity. Ordered a second one for my work bag.

Chrome finish is nice, bit is held firmly in the socket, no wobble. Can't ask for more from a five dollar tool.

I rounded off a cheap T6 trying to fix my daughter's gaming controller. This one's fit is precise and after multiple repairs the tip is still crisp. Wish I'd bought quality the first time.

First use went okay, second time the bit sheared off inside the fastener head. Maybe a defective heat treat, but that's not acceptable. Getting a refund.
