The 90-tooth ratchets are the star here — they're smooth and engage with almost no swing, which matters a lot in tight engine bays. Sockets are clearly marked and the 6-point design grips well. My complaints are minor: the box drawer slides are a little sticky, and I'd like a few more mid-size extensions. Still, hard to beat for the money.

He's starting as an apprentice mechanic and needed something comprehensive without breaking the bank. This set has everything from daily use so far. He's rough on tools and nothing has failed yet after four months.

No doubt the sockets and ratchets are solid GEARWRENCH quality. But the 3-drawer storage box is more of a convenience than a real tool chest — thin metal, shallow drawers. If you plan to move it around a lot, expect some rattling. Tools themselves: five stars. Box: three.

Quality on the ratchets and sockets is legit professional grade — I use them at work daily. The bits and drivers are fine but not exceptional. The storage box latch popped open once when I picked it up by the handle, so now I use a bungee in the truck. Overall still a great buy.

The set is likely great based on the tools that were included, but my box arrived missing several sockets and one wrench. Customer service is handling a replacement, but count your pieces as soon as it shows up.

Watched this for months and jumped when it hit $97. For 243 pieces of name-brand tooling, that's absurd. Ratchets are smooth, chrome is flawless, and the box actually keeps things organized instead of being a throwaway case.
