GEARWRENCH 2321W Wide Band Oil Filter Wrench, 4-3/8" to 5-1/4" Heavy-Duty

Used this on my Powerstroke's oil filter that a strap wrench and two different cap wrenches couldn't budge. The wide band grabs the full circumference of the canister and the heavy-duty build transferred all my torque without slipping or crushing the filter. It's built like a tank, all steel with no flex. This is now a permanent resident of my truck toolbox.

Fits the big Motorcraft filters perfectly and hasn't slipped yet. Paint on the band will get chewed up but that's cosmetic. Good tool for the money.

The wide band distributes pressure so evenly that filters come off without the caving-in you get with narrow band wrenches. Wish I'd bought one years ago.

Grip is excellent and it removed my truck's filter with zero slipping. But the band and handle setup is bulky and barely fit in my engine bay space. Works fine, just be sure you have room to swing it.

Broke two plastic cap wrenches before switching to this. The steel band grips tight and I can use a full-size ratchet or breaker bar on it. Even worked on my neighbor's Duramax. Highly recommend for diesel owners.

Feels like it will outlast my truck. Range covers most car and light truck filters so it stays versatile in the shop. Handle could use a rubber grip but functionally it's excellent.

My car's filter is right at the edge of the range and the band wouldn't cinch tight enough. My fault partly for not measuring, but keep in mind it won't grip smaller filters well.

First oil change with this wrench took the filter off in one smooth pull after heating it up a bit. Zero slip, zero crushed canister. Best oil filter tool I've owned.
