I change oil on my diesel pickup every 5,000 miles and the filter is always a bear to remove. This wrench fits the 5-inch filter diameter perfectly and the 1/2 inch drive lets me use my long breaker bar. The band is holding up well after several changes. Only minor gripe is that it can dent soft filter cans if you get aggressive, so back off once it's loose.

This thing is built like an old-school tool. The band teeth bite into the filter shell and it just does not let go. Removed a filter baked on by desert heat after 10,000 miles. Highly recommend.

It's a well-made wrench, no question. But the 4-1/2 to 5-1/4 band range doesn't cover the smaller filters on my wife's car, so it lives in the toolbox for the truck only. Wish I'd checked my filter sizes before ordering. Quality itself is fine.
