The CODE RED grips are comfortable even with gloves on, and the jaws grab nail shafts without slipping. It's a one-trick tool, but it does that trick brilliantly. Would like a slightly longer version for really stubborn nails.

Removing old staples and nails from subfloor before laying new hardwood — this thing paid for itself in the first ten minutes. The jaws get under fastener heads flush to the wood, which was impossible with my pliers.

Works well but my hands get tired on long demo days. Maybe I need the shorter version.

I've abused this thing for two years of renovation work — hammering on it, prying with it, leaving it in the rain. Not a scratch on function. Forged steel is the real deal.

When nails are set deep, the jaws dig into the surrounding lumber and leave ugly marks. Fine for demo, bad for salvage work.
