TEKTON SRH01112 3/8" Drive x 12" Non-Quick-Release Long Ratchet, 90-Tooth

I've been wrenching on cars for over 30 years and this is hands down the smoothest ratchet I own. The 90-tooth gear means I only need 4 degrees of swing, which makes a huge difference in tight spots like behind the engine block. The long 12-inch handle gives me plenty of leverage for stubborn bolts too. The non-quick-release head actually feels more solid to me — nothing rattling around. At $26 it's honestly stealing.

Bought this to replace a cheap auto parts store ratchet that started skipping. Night and day difference. The compact head fits where my old one wouldn't, and the action is incredibly smooth with almost no back-drag. Fit and finish are what you'd expect from TEKTON — clean knurling, nice finish, solid feel. Would buy again without hesitation.

Really like this ratchet overall. The fine 90-tooth mechanism works great in tight engine bay spaces and the handle is comfortable for long jobs. Only complaint is the knurling could be a touch more aggressive — my hands were a bit sweaty and it felt slightly slick. Still a fantastic tool for the price.

It's a decent ratchet and the 4-degree swing is legit useful. That said, mine developed a slight gritty feel in the mechanism after a couple months of shop use. TEKTON's warranty took care of it, so no real complaints, just wish it held up a bit better under daily professional use.

I'm 67 and have collected tools my whole life. This little TEKTON ratchet has become my go-to for brake jobs and general around-the-garage work. The long handle means less strain on my wrists, and the fine tooth count lets me work in cramped quarters without repositioning constantly. My grandkids were impressed, which says something! For twenty-six bucks you simply can't go wrong.

Maybe I got a bad one, but right out of the box the ratcheting action felt gritty and it skipped under moderate load. Customer service was responsive and offered a replacement, so I'll update if the second one is better. Disappointed because the reviews were so good.
