Tekton SHD14319 3/8 Inch Drive x 19 mm Semi-Deep 12-Point Socket

19 mm is basically the universal size for lug nuts and a ton of other hardware, and this semi-deep version handles those bolts sitting in slightly recessed spots where a shallow socket won't seat. I've used it on my wife's Corolla lug nuts, some bumper bracket bolts, and a lawn tractor axle. The chrome has held up through two years of garage abuse, no rust, no chipping. The semi-deep length is the real hero here. Lug nuts behind wheel covers, recessed suspension bolts, all no problem now. Fits my ratchet snugly and the 12-point design bites hard without slipping.

The socket itself is good quality and reached the semi-recessed 19 mm bolts on my truck fine. My only note is that for lug nuts under real torque, I sometimes wish I had the 1/2 inch drive version instead. The 3/8 drive is fine for most jobs but flexes a bit with a long breaker bar.

Heads up for anyone buying this for lug nuts: 12-point sockets can round off 6-point lug nuts if they're even slightly worn or over-torqued. Mine started slipping on the third wheel. On hex bolts it works great, but I should have bought a 6-point for this size.
