Tekton SHD12112 3/8 Inch Drive x 12 mm Shallow 6-Point Socket, Chrome Plated

Used it on some stubborn brake line fittings and the 6-point grip didn't slip once. Chrome finish still looks new after a few months in my toolbox.

Fits snug and the radiused corners really do help with worn bolts. Would buy again.

I've been buying Tekton sockets to replace my old Craftsman set piece by piece, and this 12mm is exactly what I hoped for. The chrome plating is smooth and even, and the etched markings are easy to read even in a dim garage. It clicked onto my 3/8 ratchet with a nice positive feel, no wobble at all. Torqued down some metric hardware on my truck's skid plate and it held up perfectly. Hard to beat at this price.

Nothing fancy, but it fits fasteners properly and hasn't rounded anything off yet. Shipping took a bit longer than I wanted.

Lost the 12mm out of my set somehow and this filled the gap for under six bucks. Fit and finish match my other sockets, and it hasn't shown any wear after a couple of weekend projects. Great backup to keep in the trunk kit too.

The socket itself seems fine mechanically, but the size etching is very faint and hard to see. Frustrating when you're digging through a drawer looking for the right size.

Picked this up specifically for working on my bike's metric fasteners. The 6-point design grips nice and tight, which matters a lot on aluminum engine hardware. Rounding off a bolt on a motorcycle is a nightmare, so the radiused corner design gives me real peace of mind. Tekton keeps proving budget doesn't mean junk.

Runs it daily in my small engine repair shop. Holding up fine so far after a few hundred uses on the impact-rated tasks I do by hand. No chips in the chrome yet.

My grandson told me to stop buying the cheap hardware store sockets that round off every bolt. He was right, this one grips the nut firmly and came off clean every time. At my age I appreciate tools that don't fight me. Very pleased with the purchase.
