Tekton SHB20203 1/2 Inch Drive x 1/2 Inch Slotted Bit Socket

I've had cheap slotted bit sockets where the bit wobbles or falls out. This one has zero play and has survived months of impact driver use. The S2 steel hasn't chipped or deformed. At six bucks, just buy two.

Fits my 1/2 drive ratchet perfectly, no complaints.

Turns big sloted fasteners like on old machinery without slipping. The laser-etched size marking is easy to read even with greasy fingers. Chrome finish still looks new. Happy with it.

Those big slotted packing nuts on vintage faucets need exactly this kind of tool. The bit stays put and transmits torque cleanly. Saved me from buying a whole specialty kit for one job.

Bought this to remove some oversized slotted screws on my furnace blower housing. Works great with my breaker bar. The press-fit bit gives me confidence it won't pop out mid-turn. Would buy other sizes.

The slot on my bit is a touch narrow for some of the fasteners I encounter, so it can slip under heavy load. Fine for the right application, just measure your screw slots before ordering.

Half inch drive with a proper S2 bit, what's not to like? I've rounded out plenty of fasteners with cheap bits over the years. This one bites hard and hasn't worn visibly after a season of use.

Six dollars for a press-fit bit socket is fair. Machining is clean, fits snug on the ratchet. Used it on electrical panel lugs and old deck hardware without issue.

Maybe I got a bad heat treat, but the tip chipped after maybe a dozen uses on some stubborn hitch bolts. Returned it without much hassle, but I expected better.
