Tekton SHA92016 Locking Extension Set, 3-Piece, 1/2 Inch Drive (3, 6, 10 Inch), Chrome-Plated

Between the 3, 6, and 10 inch extensions I've covered everything from spark plugs deep in a well to tight accessory bolts. The locking collars hold sockets firmly even when working at awkward angles. Chrome plating cleans up like new after greasy jobs. At half off this was the easiest purchase of the year.

All three extensions lock sockets securely and the fit on my ratchets is tight. The 10 inch gets the most use on my deep-reach jobs. Would love a small pouch to keep them together, but that's a minor gripe.

I'm no pro, just a guy who works on his own trucks, and this set solved a problem I didn't realize I had. Sockets used to fall off my old non-locking extensions constantly. Now they click in and stay put. The different lengths mean I always have the right reach.

The 3 and 6 inch are flawless. Under heavy torque the 10 inch shows a bit of flex, which is just physics for that length, but I noticed it on stubborn lug nuts. Still useful and the locking feature is excellent on all three.

I've collected tools for 45 years and I know good chrome from junk. These are properly made — smooth collars, precise drive squares, plating that isn't going to flake in the salt belt. My grandson borrowed the 10 inch for his first brake job and it made the work easy for him.

I already owned the 6 inch and kept reaching for longer or shorter, so getting all three for barely more than one single made sense. The locking mechanism is consistent across all lengths. Honestly a must-have for any 1/2 inch drive setup.
