TEKTON PRR91100 5, 7, 9 Inch Retaining Ring Pliers Set, 16-Piece, Internal/External Straight and 90-Degree

The interchangeable tips and multiple lengths mean I never grab the wrong pliers anymore. Used the 9-inch pair on tractor snap rings and the 5-inch on small engine work. Tips hold their shape and don't slip out of the ring holes.

Build quality is excellent and the 90-degree heads saved me on a hydraulic cylinder rebuild. Swapping tips takes a little longer than I'd like but it's not a dealbreaker. Great value versus Snap-On.

The pliers themselves are well made with strong spring action. It took me a while to figure out the tip configuration for internal vs external rings, so budget some patience if you're new to this.

I had a transmission snap ring that no single pair of pliers could handle. This set had the exact length and angle combination I needed, and the tips gripped firmly without spreading. The pouch keeps all 16 pieces sorted, which my old-school brain appreciates. Far cheaper than one trip to the mechanic.

Packaging was fine but the 7-inch external plier had a bent tip out of the box. The rest of the set looks okay. Waiting on a replacement.

Rebuilt a front axle and two sets of wheel bearings using these. The spring-loaded handles are comfortable over long sessions and the tips haven't worn after a dozen jobs. Would recommend keeping the case handy since the small tips are easy to misplace.

Sixteen combinations in one set at this price is hard to beat. The 90-degree tips get into places straight pliers simply can't reach. Genuinely professional quality.
