GEARWRENCH GWSMART07 7" Wireless Bi-Directional Diagnostic Scanner Tablet with 4 Years of Software Updates

I run a small independent shop and this little tablet does everything my old Snap-on did for daily diagnostics. Bi-directional control works on domestic and import, topology mapping saves me serious time chasing electrical gremlins, and the interface is genuinely intuitive. For under a hundred bucks this is absurd value.

Plugged it in, scanned my F-150 in under a minute. Cleared codes and did a throttle relearn without any issues. Very happy.

Booted it up and ran a full system scan on my 2016 Silverado right away. Found a stored misfire history code that cheaper OBD2 readers never picked up. The reset functions covered everything I needed, though I dock a star because the touchscreen can be a little laggy when scrolling through menus. Overall a solid tool for a DIYer like me who got tired of paying the dealer diagnostic fee.

The 7-inch screen is a bit small for my aging eyes but nothing a pair of readers can't fix.

The scan coverage is genuinely OE-level and I've confirmed it on a couple of German cars, which surprised me at this price. However the WiFi setup took a few tries and one firmware update froze halfway until I reset it. It works well now, but be patient with the initial setup.
